Now that I live by the lake I can walk down and take photos any time I want. It looks so much different during the winter. I made these images at sunset when the tide was coming in. I love the motion in the floating ice, it makes the whole sean very surreal.
I wish I was a writer, maybe you can help. Lets write a group poem. I'll get you started and you can add to it in the comments.

I love all the brides maids peeking in the door. I wanted to tell them they could come in but then this shot would never have happened. Sorry girls.

Would you believe that these leafs just happened to be falling right in front of Ann & Joe. I didn't think so. I saw these leafs outside the church that matched the wedding color to a T. I put them in a bag and stashed them in my car until we got to the park.
On a side note this is my 200th blog post. Whoo Hoo!
For some reason I am drawn to this image. It's split seconds like these that make me need to push the button. Just a slight bit of motion blur on the dress as it's falling gently to the floor. It's not going to win any awards or get hung on Ann's wall, but I like it.

Kristen & Ron meet over a crashing patient, how many couples can say they saved a life when they met for the first time. Ron tells the story better than I ever could. The day after that first meeting he went back to find her but lost his nerve. On a side note maybe instead of comparing difficult things to "Brain Surgery" we should compare them to "Talking to Women".
It's 1am and I just finished Carly & Mike's book. I hope you like it guys. Now I have to get some rest so I can get up bright and early to work on Kristen & Ron's engagement photos from earlier today.
Just a little help from mom to get her necklace on. The book is coming along nice guys.
I have finally got to work on Carly & Mike's book today. When I got to the hotel I found Mike relaxing before the guys got there to get ready.
Who doesn't love a ball game every now and then. Stephony & Mark love it so much we took their engagement photos at a baseball diamond. I love the shot of Stephony & Mark catching the ball in the outfield. I think they were laughing because I threw like a girl with my left hand.
I got to hang out with Ann & Joe a few months ago at Sarah & Nick's wedding but Saturday was their turn to take the plunge. They got married in Wisconsin Dells so I figured a water related analogy was in order. We finished up with pictures at the church a little early so I took the time to gather some red leaves that matched the brides maids dresses to take to the park with us. They made for a cool shot in that great stone entry way. It was a beautiful sunny day, may the sun continue to shine on these two where ever they go.
I just finished another book today before I jump on the plane in the morning and head back to the midwest. Angie & Jeremy had a live band at their wedding which made for some cool first dance shots. Long story but I used to hang out with this bands former bass player. Small world.
The great thing about my job is I can work from anywhere. The down side of my job is I work everywhere. I thought I would post a few spreads from the last day or so.
I had a great show this weekend in Phoenix. The grass was rolled off the field and the wedding vendors rolled on. I am looking forward to spending more time here in the south west with all of the brides I got to meet.
Who doesn't like roasting Marshmallows? You know Dena & Jake like it. We were it the middle of their engagement session and all of the sudden their was a fire and marshmallows. Not that I'm complaining I love a toasted marshmallow or two in the middle of a shoot. In fact from now on I'm not going to a shoot that doesn't have a marshmallow within arm's reach.
