This image slipped by my last post. Woops. I have been getting into the habit of making one last image of the couple before I leave for the night. Something sexy to finish the wedding album with. I like this one!
Another great weekend, it was my privilege to attend the wedding of Stephanie and Mark. The two of them have been dating for almost a decade and you can tell. Their connection is strong, you can see it all in Stephanie's smile. I love the shot of Mark and his grooms men sitting on the dock. For a minute I thought the dock was going to give out but we got lucky. I think we can chalk that up to some good karma from Mark and his big brother D Money.
I took a stroll on the beach last night with my camera. I love living so close to the lake. These are part of a series of images I am making by the lake that show waves in motion. The idea that the camera can make something look surreal fascinates me.
I spent Friday night at Cranberry Creek doing some work for their home owners association. The images above were made into a tour of the building that you can click through. Check out the finished product at the link below.
This weekend I had the privilege of seeing Karen and Ryan get married in a small church in Hubertus. It was actually a really big church but Karen and Ryan's families made it feel like the church down the street. Both their families are so welcoming and I want to thank them all for the kindness they showed me (the hired help).
Whenever I have a long drive I leave a little early to stop for a photo or three. This was one of those Wisconsin days that thick clouds drift overhead casting shadows on the landscape below. I had to jump a barbed wire fence to grab this shot.
This was my first Armenian wedding ceremony. Near the end of the ceremony the officiant gave the traditional blessing. May you grow old on the same pillow.
I'm on a roll but a guys got to eat. Just one quick post before dinner. I love the shot of the little guy looking at his Lego catalogue. I remember looking through those books as a kid imagining all the cool things I could build.
I'm working on Kristen and Ron's book today but I though I would take a quick blog break. This is the first spread in the book. I thought the strips cut in the black wall made a dramatic start to the album.
I had a great time last night with my new friends at Molly Cool's. Who new you could get half of Milwaukee to show up at your restaurant by offering free food and drinks, it was a mad house. They have a great location right on the milwaukee river with a view of the city. I hope to be back socially soon.
I am into time-lapse photography right now. Normally the camera is used to freeze a single moment in time. I have become fascinated by the ways the same tool can be used to show the passage of time. Either by time-lapse or long exposure like my recent series of landscapes down by the lakefront.
What does a photographer do for fun? Take pictures with friends. Sunday I got together with fellow members from "the Collection" to take some photos. I had a great time. The models Sara and Nick must have thought we were all crazy. There were about a bakers dozen of us, all pointing our lenses at them. It must have been intimidating but they did great.
